The Disciple’s Anointing for Unlimited Power

“I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.” (Luke 24:49)

As disciples, we need God’s anointing. We should tarry until we receive it from the Holy Spirit. When He anoints us, God confirms who we are and gives us our commission. Power and authority come with the anointing, but they come through Jesus, not from the institution of the Church or any of its members apart from Him.

On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about. For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.” Then they gathered around him and asked him, “Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?” He said to them: “It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:4-8)

You must be baptized in the Holy Spirit; only then you will have power. You need the King’s anointing just like David did.

When you have been anointed by God.

Your human capacity and ability will be unlimited.

You will be able to function at an unlimited pace and gain momentum.

On that day a great persecution broke out against the church in Jerusalem, and all except the apostles were scattered throughout Judea and Samaria. Godly men buried Stephen and mourned deeply for him. But Saul began to destroy the church. Going from house to house, he dragged off both men and women and put them in prison. Those who had been scattered preached the word wherever they went. (Acts 8:1-4)

You will have unlimited influence and dominion.

You will overcome fear and discouragement.

You will learn to live by the Spirit and not according to the desires of your flesh.

You will learn to be still in your position and know who your God is.
